Conde Nast Traveler feature

by Adrian on 10/08/2010

I appeared as one of the “Obsessed” collectors in the February 2010 issue of Conde Nast Traveller, stumbling over piles of the stamps. I can assure you that the stamps are not normaly treated that way but it did make a splendid image!

Hi Adrian
My husbands GG Grandfather was John Wild Bolt Stamp Maker in Manchester….he is also John Wild named after him.

We would be really delighted to know more about him if you have any details. We would also like to acquire one of his stamps,we know almost nothing about him and his company.

Thank you for your interesting site and sharing all your images for people to enjoy.

Kind regards

Susan Wild

Hi Susan Wild,

We own a John Wild Sycamore & Copper Bolt Stamp. It is of a man climbing a palm tree with another palm tree and plant life. The John Wild Stamp is on each side. I do have pictures if interested. It’s a beautiful and intricate piece. Let me know if you’re interested.
